Gold Price in Nepal Rises by Rs. 1,000 per Tola, Silver Also Sees Uptick

The price of gold, a highly valued asset in Nepal, has surged by Rs. 1,000 per tola today, bringing the cost to Rs. 1,52,400 per tola. This marks a considerable increase from the previous day’s rate of Rs. 1,51,400 per tola.

As reported by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of Tejabi gold has also seen a rise, reaching Rs. 1,51,700 per tola, up from Rs. 1,50,700 per tola just a day earlier.

On August 21, 2024, the price of fine gold had peaked at Rs. 1,53,000 per tola, underscoring the volatility present in the gold market.

Silver prices have followed suit, increasing by Rs. 35 per tola to reach Rs. 1,850 per tola, compared to the previous rate of Rs. 1,815 per tola.

While the domestic market shows a clear upward trend, global economic factors continue to play a crucial role in these price changes. Currently, the international price of gold stands at $2,512.10 per ounce, with silver priced at $29.78 per ounce.
