Power supply system in the Bharatpur metropolis that was disrupted by the recent windstorm is yet to be fully restored. The storm occurred in the late evening of Friday caused the toppling of trees and electric poles. 

According to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Bharatpur distribution center, 140 electric poles collapsed during the high wind and it will take five days more to restore them completely and resume the power supply at a regular pace. As Center chief Rajib Kumar Singh said, electric wires have got snapped at various places due to the poles collapse and the Center has mobilsed its entire technical team and hired other teams as well to restore the structures.
