Need your input on issue..
If I am not mistaken, Nepse is a one of kind stock market in the world because as compared to other exchanges, for now Nepse has scraped any short selling.
Before the start of this bull run, if I remember correctly (could also be wrong), only some investors that were close friends of brokers were allowed to short sell stocks and it was one of the reason why market often seemed to go down in an unrealistic manner. Due to this, regulatory body scraped short selling option for Nepse.
Here, rises the issue, firstly if short selling is closed then the only way to earn profit is through long position. Hence, sooner or later the market has to go up. Isn’t it?
Secondly, with short selling not being available, can this correction really be labeled as bears vs bulls? The definition of bears in stock are those that benefit from borrowing shares to sell at higher prices and repay it by buying at lower prices.
