Gold Prices in Nepal Hit Record High, Reaching Rs. 1,56,300 per Tola

The gold market in Nepal surged to a new record on September 13, 2024, with significant price increases. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold has risen to Rs. 1,56,300 per tola, up from Rs. 1,53,300 the previous day, reflecting a sharp rise of Rs. 3,000.

Similarly, Tejabi gold saw a notable increase, now priced at Rs. 1,55,600 per tola, up from yesterday’s Rs. 1,52,600 per tola. This price surge follows a previous high in fine gold rates, which hit Rs. 1,53,400 per tola on September 11, 2024, indicating continuing market volatility.

Along with gold, silver prices have also climbed, with a rise of Rs. 65 per tola, bringing the price to Rs. 1,860, compared to Rs. 1,795 per tola the previous day.

This consistent upward trend in precious metals is largely influenced by global economic conditions. On the international market, gold is trading at $2,569.10 per ounce, while silver stands at $29.95 per ounce.
