Gold Prices Surge by Rs. 1,900 per Tola in Nepal

The price of the highly sought-after yellow metal has surged by Rs. 1,900 per tola today compared to yesterday’s rates. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the current price for fine gold stands at Rs. 1,44,700 per tola, a notable rise from yesterday’s Rs. 1,42,800 per tola.

Similarly, Tejabi gold prices have increased to Rs. 1,44,000 per tola, reflecting an upsurge of Rs. 1,900 from yesterday’s price of Rs. 1,42,100 per tola.

On June 7, 2024, the peak price for fine gold reached Rs. 1,45,000 per tola, underscoring the volatility in the precious metals market. Meanwhile, the cost of silver has also seen an uptick of Rs. 25 per tola, with the new price now set at Rs. 1,865 per tola, up from yesterday’s Rs. 1,840 per tola.

As domestic markets continue their upward trend, global economic factors continue to exert influence. Currently, the latest international gold rate is $2,362.80 per ounce, with silver priced at $30.55 per ounce in the global market.
