Yesterday when I bought shares for the first time, I saw this odd lot options, can someone explain to me what is this odd lot.

  1. Sometimes when we sell shares, all of our shares might not be completely traded leaving some shares still in our portfolio, still unsold.
    So those shares (if number of shares is in between 1 to 9) are traded in odd lot.
    If we have more than or equals to 10 (100 for mutual), then it can be traded in continuous session
