The NEPSE Index continued its downward trend, losing 22.36 points (0.89%) and closing at 2,464.40 after a 32.81-point drop in the previous session. The index fluctuated throughout the trading day, opening at 2,483.91 points, peaking at 2,494.57, and dipping to a low of 2,442.63 before settling.
Today’s session witnessed the trading of 327 scrips through 58,401 transactions, with a volume of 10,311,885 shares. The total turnover reached Rs. 4.05 Arba. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 39.18 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 13.81 Kharba.
NLG Insurance Company Limited (NLG) topped the turnover chart, trading shares worth Rs. 15.92 crore and closing at Rs. 1,375 per share. Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) posted the highest gain of the day, surging by 6.55%, while Upper Syange Hydropower Limited (USHL) experienced the steepest loss, dropping by 9.99%.
Sector-wise, the Trading Index led the decline with a 2.97% decrease, while the Manufacturing and Processing Index registered the highest growth of 1.03%.
