The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a modest gain of 2.27 points today, marking a 0.10% rise to close at 2,078.76 points. This follows a previous loss of 18.76 points from the last trading session.
The market opened at 2,077.75 points and reached an intraday high of 2,086.85 points. The index hit a low of 2,073.34 points before settling at the closing value of 2,078.76 points.
In today’s trading session, 308 stocks were traded across 48,706 transactions, with a total volume of 7,209,757 shares. The overall turnover reached Rs. 3.40 Arba.
Nepal Finance Ltd. (NFS) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 20.23 Crores and closing at Rs. 724.20 per share. NFS hit the positive circuit with a surge of 9.99%.
In contrast, Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) faced a significant loss, dropping by 9.88%.
In sector performance, six sector indices closed in positive territory. The “Finance Index” recorded the highest sectoral gain of 2.62%, while the “Trading Index” saw the biggest loss, declining by 1.32%.
