The government has declared a public holiday today (Sunday, April 10) on the occasion of Ram Navami.

As such, NEPSE will also remain closed on Sunday.

The meeting of Council of Ministers convened on April 7 took the decision to this effect. All the public offices will remain closed on this day, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Ram Navami is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Ram to King Dasharath and Queen Kausalya in Ayodhya in Treta Yuga. A spring festival is celebrated on the ninth day of Chaitra month the first month in the Hindu lunar calendar.
