  1. Does increasing interest rate increase deposits?? It will just switch from one financial institution to another, maybe from cooperative to banks.

    Govt should either increase exports, or dollar generating business like tourism, FDI, etc.. Or restrict imports of luxury items like high value vehicles, gold, alcohol, etc to retain deposits from spending.

    Merolagani: कार्तिक महिनामा अधिकांश वाणिज्य बैंकहरुले मुद्दती निक्षेपमा ९.३६ प्रतिशत र कुनै कुनै वाणिज्य बैंकहरुको निक्षेपमा ८ प्रतिशतसम्म पनि रहेकाले तिनीहरुको औसत निकाल्दा भने अघिल्लो महिनाको अधिकतम भन्दा पनि कम व्याज दर हुनेछ। अघिल्लो महिना बैंकहरुले प्रकाशित गरेको मुद्दति निक्षेपको अधिकतम ब्याजदरको औसत ९.१३ प्रतिशत रहेको छ। यसको १० प्रतिशत ब्याजदर बढाउदा पनि १०.०४ प्रतिशत हुन्छ यसले गर्दा बैंकहकरुले अधिकत १०.०४ प्रतिशतसम्म मात्रै ब्याजदर कायम गर्न पाउने देखिएको छ। कतिपय बैंकको अघिल्लो महिनाको अधिकतम ब्याजदरमा १० प्रतिशत मात्रै बढाउदा पनि उक्त ब्याजदरभन्दा धेरै हुन जान्छ तर ती बैंकले पनि अधिकतम १०.०४ प्रतिशतसम्म मात्रै ब्याजदर कायम गर्न पाउछन्।
