The NEPSE Index continued its decline, dropping 4.00 points, or 0.15%, to close at 2,576.76 in the latest trading session, extending the previous day’s loss of 57.03 points.
The session began with the index at 2,584.35 points, reaching an intraday high of 2,606.04 points, and a low of 2,551.40 points before settling at 2,576.76 points. A total of 320 companies participated in the trading, with 80,378 transactions. The day’s turnover was Rs. 5.66 Arba, with 13,952,121 shares exchanged. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 40.97 Kharba, while float market capitalization reached Rs. 14.40 Kharba.
CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) led the turnover chart, recording a total of Rs. 20.58 crore and closing at Rs. 1,999 per share.
On the gainers’ side, Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (KMCDB) posted the highest gain of the session, rising by 8.08%. On the other hand, Goodwill Finance Limited (GFCL) suffered the steepest decline, falling by 6.77%.
In terms of sector indices, only two sectors ended in the green. The Banking SubIndex led the gainers with a 0.76% increase, while the Finance Index experienced the biggest drop, declining by 2.68%.
