There were 10 shares when IPO was alloted but now there are only 9. Can someone tell me why it happens?

Jyoti life got merged with surya life to form surya jyoti life in the ratio of 0.9:1 i.e 10 Units of jyoti life will be converted into 9 Units of surya jyoti life .
